In this investiture of fleshly life A soul that is a spark of God survives . And sometimes it breaks through the sordid screen And kindles a fire that makes us half-divine. Savitri, Book 11, Canto V

the eye of the world

Everyday I go my roof garden in the wee hours to water the potted
plants. It's dark-as dark as night. I begin my day before the Sun
begins. So he wishes me a Good Morning everyday as he appears. I
reciprocate silently with my adoration.
I watch every step of his coming and it's the most beautiful hour of the day!
I live in a place which is not an ideal place for viewing sunrise. But
while watching him rising –as he almost leaps up in the first few
moments I forget that there may be more beautiful scene with the sun
elsewhere!
It is the time of aspiration-for light and a beginning.

So this is for sharing my time with my Flickr friends.

sunrise from the roof of our house

" He carried a mortal lustre as his robe,
Trailed Heaven like a purple scarf and wore
As his vermillion caste-mark a red sun..."

a book and its leaf

You can not find the secrets of life by reading books. The words are
dry and life-less.

The photo was taken by my daughter and she presented it to me.

a faded past

A past is not a vanished time or a withered history. It is grabed by
the present to stand on a new form.
